Full Description
{1} 700 acres of meadow or inclosed land, 1600 acres in common, 100 acres in a warren immemorially enjoyed by Lord of Manor. Shakerley Marmyon sold manor to Richard Cartwright of the Inner Temple esq in 1616.
{2} The manor house at Aynho was burned down in the Civil War and lying so close to the royalist garrison at Banbury the village may well have suffered significantly during this period, possibly contributing to the demise of the market.
