Summary

Cropmarks of possible Bronze Age round barrows and a possible square barrow with a central pit identified on aerial photographs. Worked flint has been found in the vicinity. The northern half of the site has been destroyed by the A14.

Full Description

{1} Cropmark ring ditch c.100ft (30m) diameter.

{3} Cropmark recorded in 1961. Ring ditch. May be same feature as recorded under RN:8775002, the latter being poorly located. G.Foard (28/11/1980). NCCAP:SP8775/016.

{7} Worked flints, watching brief by G. Cadman; SP 877 756.

{8} Cropmarks of several circular enclosures centred on SP8767556.

{9} Scatter of worked flint, Romano-British and medieval pottery from SP87707560. A Neolithic or Bronze Age flint scraper was recovered near Pytchley Lodge at SP87657560.
