Full Description

{1} A small single story building in the grounds of the farm. The owner of the building, whose family have lived on the site since the C17th, claims that the building has always been known as the old brew house. The building was originally open fronted and supported by a single stone pillar in the centre. The wall has since been filled in with stone and brick. The current roof is of corrugated iron and the floor is constructed of brick. There is a fireplace with large brick chimney and a single copper at the south end of the building. The arrangement of the building and the size of the copper indicate that it was probably used a wash house rather than a brew house.
