Full Description

{1} Wheel race at north west end of lake, immediately south east of bridge. At the south east end of the race is a sluice gate, with large iron gearing to operate the gate by rack and pinion. There is a considerable drop from sluice gate to the bottom of the wheel pit indicating the possibility of an overshot waterwheel. The house side of the wheel pit is now lined with concrete whilst the opposite side is of stone.
