Full Description

{1} A large feature, in places over 1m deep. It is possible this feature represents a massive medieval alteration to the natural topography but its function remains unclear. Cut into the base and sides of this feature were a group of medieval rubbish pits. Residual Roman, late Saxon and medieval pottery were recovered.
