Type and Period (1)

Full Description

{1} Area 1: A set of almost parallel linear anomalies aligned approx south-west to north-east, representing the ploughed-out remains of ridge and furrow of probable medieval origin.
Area 2: Two perpendicular systems of parallel linear anomalies cover the full extent of the survey area. These apparently represent two separate phases of ridge and furrow cultivation superimposed upon each other. It is not possible to tell from the data which is the earlier phase.
Area 3: Parallel linear anomalies, aligned from east to west, cover the whole of this survey area, indicating ridge and furrow of medieval origin.
