Monument record 562/0/1 - Possible undated feature, Waters Lane

Geophysical survey identified a linear anomaly, likely to be a ditch, and a pit although subsequent trial trench excavation found no evidence of these features

{1} A linear positive anomaly, possibly a buried ditch, was detected on a south east to north west orientation. To the north of this a likely pit (c.3m diameter), was represented by a large, discrete positive magnetic anomaly. A second possible ditch was also identified.

{2} There was no evidence for features or deposits corresponding to the possible ditches and pit recorded by the geophysical survey.
