Full Description

{1} The preliminary OS map of 1835 shows the principal range of Falls Farm but shows no buildings in the location of the stable. The stable is depicted on the first published OS map of 1886 as part of a longer, rectangular range of buildings. The range was partially demolished by 1900, leaving the stable block as indicated on the OS map of 1970.
The stable is of 1.5 storeys and 2 bays in length, aligned east-west and constructed of coursed ironstone rubble with an asbestos sheet roof. A small doorway opening gives ladder access to a hayloft above. At the western gable is a small, single storey Lean-to extension wich is currently used as a tack room and potting shed. A second single storey lean-to store is located at the rear and is accessed through an opening in the back wall of the stable.
The stable interior has no original fixtures or fittings surviving in situ.
