Full Description

{1} The topsoil contained approx twelve fragments of disarticulated human bone, mostly skull fragments. Once the topsoil was removed a grave cut was visible within the confines of the construction area. It was located c.1m to the east of the pathway to the entrance to the Meeting House. While several disarticulated skull fragments were recovered from the grave cut the primary burial lay below the excavated level.
The human remains recovered represent probable upcast from other burials. The tombstones in the adjacent cemetery date to the middle C19th to middle C20th.
