Full Description

{1} Beyond the garden a second avenue had been added to the north, on the same alignment as the southern avenue, axial to the house. Unlike the earlier Elm Walk it gave views from the north-east wing of the house, which also had a view north-eastward through the grove to the gazebo. The views were clearly designed and new plantings established to avoid the visual intrusion of the main village and of Little Ecton.
