Full Description
{1} The building is a brick built, slate roofed outbuilding, shown from map evidence to have been built between 1837 and 1886 and roofed between 1886 and 1900.
The structure is constructed of old English bond brickwork. On the front face there is a central door and window on either side. The lintels for the door and windows are brick arches. On the gable ends near the apex there are single diamonds in simple diaper work. The west gable of the north wall sits on top of an ironstone retaining wall.
Internally the building measures approx 7m by 5m with a brick cobble floor, whitewashed solid brick walls and a lath and plaster ceiling. The roof structure comprises two timber king post trusses, purlins and rafters. Internally it is currently divided into three spaces, two stables and a corridor along the front. The partitions appear to be later additions.
