Full Description
{1} Two sub rectangular depressions each with traces of a low bank or dam only 1.25m high at its lower, west end. These appear to be the remains of two ponds which, perhaps, were either fishponds of the priory or a source of additional water for the assumed mill, or both. These ponds appear to cut through, and are thus later than, a series of low scarps which extend northwards and which are the close boundaries of the deserted village of Lower Catesby.
