Full Description
{1} A possible stone surface consisting of rounded red sandstone cobbles and flat white limestone fragments, up to 0.2m thick. A single sherd of 18th century or later Wedgwood pottery was recovered from this deposit. The stone surface could have been associated with the operation of the airfield although the sherd of pottery may suggest an earlier agricultural origin.
