Full Description

{1} In 1746 The Green is shown with a road along its north and east sides. The north road left the green at its north west corner and became a hedged track which still exists, leading to Lamport.
The track from the north west of the green ran along the north side of the hedged paddock to the north west corner, and then forked. One track ran on west down the hillside and still survives as a farm track. This is shown as the ‘Road to Lamport’ in 1746. The other fork ran south and is traceable as a narrow strip of land between blocks of ridge and furrow. In 1746 it continued to Scaldwell.
From the south east point of the green a track ran south east down the hillside and then turned south. In 1746 this was called the ‘Road from Old’.
