Full Description

{1} A wall was encountered during top stripping; it comprised one course of stonework. The wall was aligned WSW-ENE and measured 1.8m x 0.8m. The wall was constructed with squared slabs of sandstone with a clay mortar.
The wall is perhaps more suggestive of an outbuilding than a load-bearing structure, although its dressed faces imply some care taken in its construction. No dating evidence was present but it is possibly medieval.
