Full Description

{1} A strong magnetic disturbance, likelt of modern origin, may represent an infilled pond or quarry pit, or perhaps the site of a modern building.

{2} A filled-in pond-like feature represented by a dark, damp silt, 0.5m deep above natural clay. The silt had been overlain, in part, by a stone surface of rough limestone slabs with no bonding. The surface revealed no finds. Above the surface was a rubble deposit of 20th century date, clearly a levelling deposit.
