Full Description
{1} Remanants of ridge and furrow cultivation running in a north west by south east direction were seen in all the trial trenches.
{2} Ridge and furrow and land drainage were noted across the site, aligned northwest to southeast. Pottery, brick and tile were recovered from the furrows and date from c.15th century to the modern date. The majority of the circular clay land drains were aligned in a similar direction.
{3} A geophysical magnetometry survey revealed the remnant furrows of the medieval open field system.
