Full Description

{1} Water supply reservoir of c.13ha, completed in 1910. Went out of use as a water supply reservoir in 1974 and is now used as a private fishing club and for agricultural irrigation. Formed by the building of a stone dam across the river valley. Has an offshore draw-off tower built to extract water at different levels. The dam is an important bird habitat.
