Test pit excavation found no evidence of ridge and furrow below ground level, although they were visible as parchmarks on the surface.

Full Description
{2} Reminders of previous ridge and furrow farming survive on the surface as lines of alternating depths of green colouring within the grass, but no evidence was seen in the test pits. This could be due to the limited length of the test pits.
