Full Description

{1} The lords of the manor of Eydon are known from 1330 onwards. The manor belonged to the crown between the mid 15th cenutury and 1541 when it was granted to Sir John Cope. A deed of 1631 mentions the manor as consisting of the manor house, one cottage, one windmill, rent of 6s and various fields. At some time between 1629 and 1634 John brown of London bought the manor.
