Full Description

{1} A NNE-SSW aligned shallow concave gully was present at the south of trench 15. It was 0.5m wide and 0.12m deep but had been truncated by recent ploughing. The alignment of the gully differed from that of the ridge and furrow and the later field boundaries, so its date could not be ascertained.

{2} Two unconnected lengths of ditch truncated by medieval furrows. Fourteen highly abraded sherds from sandy coarseware vessels of Roman date were recovered from the fill of one of the ditches. Parallel to one of the ditches was a line of six postholes- possibly a fence-line aligned alongside the ditch.
