Full Description

{1} A layer of broken limestone fragments together with numerous small rounded flint pebbles was seen, covering an area c.3.5m x 6m. The layer seemed to have a boundary on its northern edge though it was bounded/ obscured on all other sides by post medieval disturbance.
At the northern boundary of the layer were the bases of two possible postholes. It was not possible to tell whether the post holes cut or overlay the layer.
Beneath the layer were two linear gullies aligned roughly north east to south west, one a re-cut of the other. The earlier gully was 0.45m wide and 0.2m deep with a steep sloping northern edge and irregular base. The later gully was 0.7m wide and 0.4m deep with a wide V-shaped profile and some erosion to the southern edge. Neither contained any finds.
