Full Description

{1} A sub-square feature mostly obscured by the limt of the trench. It is unclear whether the feature is a large pit or part of a ditch due to its location in the trench. The visible extent of the feature was 1.7m long by 1.5m wide and approx 0.62m deep with a near vertical side and flat base. No dating evidence was recovered.
This feature possibly relates to the nearby medieval ponds in Abington Park and a culverted brook which runs immediately to the east of the site.
