Full Description

{1} Fieldwalking in April 1971. In the adjacent field below the caravan site a further 70 sherds of medieval pottery were recovered, but there was no associated stone scatter here.

{2} To the north-east again, behind The George public house quantities of medieval pottery, mainly of C12th to C14th date, have been noted in the ploughed land, concentrated in two areas, one of which also contained much stone rubble. Post medieval pottery has also been found.
