Full Description
{1} In the north-western part of Field 3, a sub-rectangular arrangement of ditches enclosing a slight platform (Fig 7, E4) may relate to the Chester-on-the-Water deserted medieval village. To the east, these remains appear to have been truncated by two broad negative linear magnetic anomalies, probably representing the former ironstone tramway, which is orientated south-west to north-east and extends into Field 5 to the east (Fig 7, tramway).
