Full Description

{1} Field 4 includes the slight earthwork remains of Chester-on-the-Water deserted medieval village. Three, parallel ditches, aligned north-west to south-east, lie towards the north-western end of the field (Fig 7, D7). The interior of Field 4 is a confusion of small features of unknown provenance.
[HER note 15/09/2014: one ditch appears to continue as part of the features recorded as HER Mon 3136/0/3.]
