Full Description

{1} Overlying the pre-Roman stream bed was a 260-320mm thick layer of colluvial wash. This was cut by a sandstone lined drain which was also visible on the geophysical survey and aligned across the trench. It was 0.46m wide, but not further excavated. It is likely to be post medieval in date, similar to many others found in Northamptonshire.
