Description
Site code: DW10. Northamptonshire Archaeology undertook geophysical survey and excavated seven trial trenches targeted on geophysical anomalies that were distributed evenly within the proposed development area. A substantial linear feature, possibly a former stream, was identified crossing the southern area. It is dated to the Middle/Late Iron Age and had probably silted up before the Roman period. A substantial ditch was also excavated to the south of this, it may connect to the stream on a perpendicular alignment, but it was sterile of finds and therefore is currently undated.
