Full Description

{1} Ground working associated with the construction of a site access road in March 2013 revealed the remains of three heavily truncated gullies or ditches. All had open, shallow profiles measuring 0.4-0.5m wide x 0.1-0.2m deep. Several sherds of Lyveden/Stanion A & B ware pottery were recovered from one of the fills, dating to c.1150-1400, thus consistent with material recovered in the previous evaluation.
