Full Description

{1} Test Pit 11 also revealed part of a large pit which extended beyond the limits of excavation. It was 0.52m deep with sides sloping at 45 degrees, and a flat base. This was overlain by a layer which contained a mix of material from the Roman period to the late C19th.
