Description

{1} (Four trial trenches were excavated in 2006) and a further ten test pits and one trench were excavated in 2010 which demonstrated the survival of Roman layers and located the probable line of the robbed Roman town wall. Also located was a medieval metalled surface in the garden of Mill Cottage.
