Full Description

{1} In No.5 Sheep Street a test pit and footings hole for temporary supporting works exposed the base of an ironstone wall on an east-west alignment. The top of the wall was exposed c.0.85m below the present floor level. It was constructed of roughly coursed ironstone rubble. It was not related to the current building and so may represent an element of an earlier structure, however no dating evidence was obtained.
