Abstract/Summary

Northamptonshire Archaeology carried out an archaeological investigation and recording during the demolition of the former Fishmarket and 5 & 7 Sheep Street, Northampton. The work observed the remains of cellars which had been largely removed prior to the construction of the Fishmarket on the Bradshaw Street frontage. Below the Fishmarket three extent cellars were observed and a further cellar under the rear of 5 Sheep Street. A well was observed under the cellar floor of 7 Sheep Street.
