Full Description
{1} Blocks 3,4 and 5 were located in a large field to the north of Weldon Park, over magnetic anomalies identified during scanning.
It is probable that the moderate scatter of tap slag in Block 4 causes the majority of anomalies there. No other anomalies indicative of archaeological activity were identified.
A strong linear anomaly within Block 5 identified the position of a modern pipe or cable, although there was also evidence of iron smelting debris.
