Full Description

{1} A bank immediately adjacent to the Roman road at the very north of the survey area may be associated with the modern encampments which lie within the strip of woodland next to the road.
[HER note 18/02/2015: it is assumed that these 'encampment' remains relate to the WWII airfield.]
