Full Description
{1} At the north-west end of Trench 2 the footings of a wall crossed in a north-east to south-west alignment. The linear construction trench had almost vertical sides with a concave base. It was c. 0.9m wide x 0.9m deep in section, and was filled with randomly coursed, undressed limestone cobbles of various sizes. The footings are the remains of a boundary wall that was demolished in the first half of the C20th. Remnants of the same wall survive in the north-west boundary wall of the Towcester Football Supporters Club car park.
Later archaeological activity included the construction of the boundary wall.
