Full Description

{1} T26 contained an L-shaped ditch orientated north-east to south-west and north-west to south-east. Although linear in plan, the sides and base of the cut were very irregular with various breaks in slope. It was filled with an orange brown silty sand and occasional chalk fragments. There was no dating evidence. It is notable that the fill of this feature was very similar to the subsoil within the trench. Ploughing may have truncated the subsurface remains.
