Full Description

{4} Some detail of the development of the gardens is given as a result of the documentary research.
The gardens associated with Bryn Hafod appear to remain essentially the same as they were created, with a broad terrace running the full width of the garden front and two flights of steps leading down to a further terrace before progressing down the slope to a large oval pond. A number of mature trees might pre-date the gardens, although much of the planting appears to be of late C19th taste.
To the north, the gardens which became part of Middlewest have been essentially obliterated by tennis courts and playing fields, apart from the remains of the top terrace which ran close to the house.
