{1} Documentary evidence for post medieval watermill and leat: "Water mills with dams and holms" listed in terrier as part of Upper Hall Manor demesne and mapped.

{2} Documentary sources: 1821 OS survey map marks it mill; 1827 Bryant's map marks it mill, as does the 1835 1 inch map.
