Full Description

{1} Survey of a pair of buildings which have evolved over several centuries. Originally there was a stone building of early C18th origin or even earlier, which was then extended with the addition of a small room, now in the south end of the present barn, which was built as an extension to the stone building in the late C18th. The main part of the barn was then built around 1840, followed by the stable block in the late C19th (c.1860-1900).
Towards the end of the C20th the stable was divided into loose boxes separated by modern block-built walls, the central one necessitating the blocking of an earlier doorway. The outbuildings have undergone a lot of modification albeit of a minor nature.
More details of the buildings are given including photographs.
