Full Description
{1} A large rectangular barn constructed of coursed limestone bonded in lime mortar aliged east to west and measuring 17m x6.1m internally. It is entered through opposed cart doors on north and south. An eastern annexe to the main barn is coursed stone single storey.A glazed metal framed window in the east gabel appears to be a secondary insertion. The underside of the roof has been boarded with tongue and groove pine planks, the higher level of insulation indicate that it may have originally been a piggery mentioned in 1886 sale particulars. A western annexe to the main barn is built of coursed limestone bonded in lime mortar. It has two doorways opposite each other in the north and south walls. There are no ventilation slits or window openings suggesting that this was a storage rather than livestock barn.
