Full Description
{1} Eleven sherds of Roman pottery, weighing 67 grams were residual in the pits [35] [37] [39] and [84]. All were rather abraded and comprised the bead rim of a Grey ware necked jar, fragments of Shell Tempered and Coarse Grey ware jars and unidentified vessel forms, one in White ware and two in Grey ware. A date in the later first and second century is likely for this material. A square moulded bottle,
dating from the later first of second century AD was residual in context [22] and what may be a Roman stone tessera was found in an unstratified context.
