Description

Excavation undertaken in advance of residential development of the former pub car-park. A few features, including post-holes, pits and gullies, may date to the late Saxon- early medieval period. A dense concentration of pits and ditches dated to the medieval period, with activity continuing until the 15th-16th centuries.
