Full Description

{1} Fieldwalking of a field historically known as Lower Headland Bush found an extensive assemblage of medieval and post-medieval pottery, widely scattered over the field. It is possible that there was settlement here by the side of the track to Pytchley. It also lies close to the site of the mill.
Two sherds of Roman greyware were also found during fieldwalking; likely to be the result of manuring.
