Full Description
{1} The southernmost part of the site was originally part of a furlong, the majority of which has been destroyed by the modern housing estate surrounding Sears Close, east of Brockhall Road. A single furrow aligned east to west, which may have been more substantial and thus survived subsequent plough damage as it lay immediately adjacent to the furlong boundary. The furrow was 2.70m wide and 0.30m deep with a wide and shallow U-shaped profile and flat base. The fill comprised mid brown-yellow clay.
