Full Description
{2} A partially robbed possible wall structure, c0.94m wide, beneath a dark charcoal rich burnt layer, containing burnt clay fragments. The backfill of the robber trench contained a significant amount of animal bone along with 76 sherds of late 1st-2nd century AD pottery. This overlay a possible re-deposited layer of natural, perhaps the intial backfilling of the robber cut.
The archaeology in this area was complex and it was only partially investigated.
