Summary

Two ditches and a pit of mid-late Iron Age date were identified during archaeological investigation undertaken as part of the churchyard extension.

Full Description

{1} The evaluation recorded a ditch dating to the middle/late Iron Age. A residual struck flint of Neolithic or Bronze Age date was also recorded.

{2} Two ditches and a pit of Middle-Late Iron Age date were identified during the recording action. Pottery, animal bone and charred cereal grains were recorded for these features and suggest they represent a small part of an occupation site.
