Summary

Trial trench excavation identified the dge of a feature, possibly a quarry or ditch. Post-medieval pottery was recovered from the fill.

Full Description

{1} The edge of an apparent ditch or quarry pit was revealed. It was filled with a mid yellow/brown silty clay. Only one edge was revealed in the trench running roughly north-west to south-east. The fill of the feature contained post-medieval brick and tile fragments.
