Abstract/Summary

Dr Mark Curteis and Michael Webster were commissioned by Richard Watkinson to carry out archaeological trial trenching on land to the rear of 52a High Street, Bugbrooke, Northamptonshire, prior to the proposed development of a single dwelling. Two trenches were excavated. In Trench 1 any archaeology had been destroyed by a large main drain, in Trench 2 a single feature was excavated that may be part of a 18th/19th century ditch or quarry. Nothing further of archaeological interest was observed.
