Full Description

{1} Worked by the Johnson family between c1831 to 1874. The yard closed for some years in the early 20th century but reopened c1920. The works closed in 1933 and remained disused until WWII when it was used for the storage and repair of ammunition boxes. Facing bricks were produced here after the war until its final closure c1960. In 1965 the site was taken over by Daventry Engineering Ltd.
